I hope you all are doing amazing!
I was going to post a Comedy Serum today, but I really wanted to talk to you all today. I've been feeling a bit off but I still wanted to write something here. I also feel that I haven't been updating you all with my life.
So this past week was quite the drama.
As you probably know, I am hunting for a job for the past 5/6 months. And let me tell you. It has been a drama.
So who is ready for a story time?
I was only called for 2 interviews and one of them was last Thursday. I was pretty confortable and to be honest I went for a job that had absolutely nothing to do with my area. I was expecting to be called for a perfume store.
It turns out, it was a perfume company. What they told me at that time was pretty self explanatory. I was going to be in contact with clients and I was going to be up front in the company, instead of going to their offices.
Which, to be quite honest I wouldn't mind at all. If it was exaclty like that. Which it was not.
I was lucky to be called for what they called a "second interview". On that "second interview" they would see more of me, and I would see more of the job that I was going to do. Well, it turns out, I was not prepared for what was about to happen.
I was going to be in that interview all day (from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm) and I was going to be "evaluated" by a girl who was, by the way, the coolest person I've met. She made me a lot of questions and she kept the conversation going - thank go since I am awkward as hell - and I felt like I knew her since always, which was really cool, personally.
It turns out that our clients were random people and we had to go door by door, selling our product like.... Let's say... Without offending anyone, Jehovah's Witnesses.
|Imagine this, but perfumes.|
I ended up having a meltdown, because I suck at being smiley for more than 2 seconds straight and because I felt that I was being annoying and I was making her lose clients. She was super kind and told me to stay calm and to go home. Because we were on a different city, I had to catch a train.
I also ended up calling my mom who was pissed because I wasted money and I was fooled by the company for one, not explaining everything, and two, for sending me to a different city, instead of being closer to the main office.
Well, I was quite traumatized by that, so now everytime I send a resume I try to see if the job is actually worth it.
Besides that, I have been doing something interesting of walking everyday for an hour, like a power walk, but without the power and the Malcom in The Middle Suits. But let me tell you, the first 5 minutes you are like: what the hell am I doing here? But then you get all the energy in the world and it is so cool. I also feel that it helps with your weight loss. So if you want to lose weight, try this out!
|I swear I don't look like Hal|
I will also publish the post that I talked to you about in the previous posts - the one that is a surprise!
And if you are reading this and you're from the US, I hope you had a great Thanksgiving and you were safe on Black Friday - and got tons of great deals!
I wish you all a great week, and of course, expect more posts soon! Oh, and by the way, I will think about posting a Comedy Serum this week, but I don't know yet...
